The game that makes a game

Code Hero is a Portal-style first-person puzzler that teaches you how to code Javascript as you play.

We need a new generation of Code Heroes, according to Ian Livingstone and the review of the way ICT, IT etc. is taught in schools today. The current generation is being taught how to use computer programs, not how to create computer programs - according to the conclusions of the review. But how to make "10 Print 'MSN Gaming Zone is great' 20 Goto 10" seem exciting? Code Hero, the game, might be the answer...

Code Hero the game, is another one of those successful Kickstarter ideas. You play in first-person with a "code gun". Select the string of code you want, fire it into the environment/at an enemy and it executes. Find something new in the game? You can copy its code, then edit it, then fire it out. Ideal for games fans who might want to do more than just play games. And as meta as Game Dev Story (out on Android and iPhone).
